Toadstool Boardroom

Another Nintendo Indie World showcase has come and gone with no sign of Hollow Knight: Silksong, and Logan is tired of you asking about it! This week, join the Boardroom as they talk about highlights from the indie showcase, why you all need to calm down about Silksong, and another edition of what Nintendo got right and wrong in the Switch generation. Plus, we ask the question: Was the Wii U better than Switch at one very specific feature? You’ll have to listen to the end to find out!

As we (hopefully) near the end of the Switch generation, we’re starting our long form retrospective on what Nintendo got right and wrong this generation. This week, Chris brings his picks to the table. Plus, we say goodbye to 3DS and Wii U, and answer your listener questions.

What’s the best Nintendo franchise? Join Logan, Justin, and Chris as they each draft a team of six Nintendo franchises. Where will Star Fox get picked? You’ll have to listen to find out. Plus, Chris shares his thoughts on Princess Peach: Showtime, and the panel discusses expectations for the next Animal Crossing, how Switch 2 will fit in a crowded market of hybrid consoles, and more.

Princess Peach: Showtime! has been out in the wild for a week, and it's finally time to talk about it in the Boardroom! Join Logan and Justin as they discuss Nintendo's latest first-party game, and stick around to hear Justin share his thoughts on MLB The Show 24. Plus, the best Nintendo Switch games Justin saw at PAX East, the hype continues to build for Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, and Nintendo continues to spread the F-Zero love.

It’s been 10 years since Nintendo’s iconic Year of Luigi came to a close, and Logan, Justin, and Chris are here to reflect on Mario’s wacky brother and all the celebrations from one of the worst financial years in Nintendo history. Plus, the panel talks about all of the news from Mario Day, impressions of the Princess Peach: Showtime demo, and more.

Nintendo has gone after a popular Switch emulator, and Chris and Justin are here to educate Logan on what all of it means. Plus, the panel talks about Nintendo’s plans for Mario Day, Logan gets fired up about the Nintendo leaker running rampant on Twitter, and they reflect on the launch of the Switch seven years ago.

Splatoon 3 Side Order is here, and it’s great! Join Logan, Justin, and Chris as they discuss Splatoon’s new roguelite DLC. Plus, the guys talk about the announcement of Pokemon Legends ZA, and what that means for Nintendo’s Fall 2024 lineup. Then, we answer your questions in the E. Gadd’s Emails segment.

Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase and Mario VS Donkey Kong Impressions | TSBR 79

We finally got a Nintendo Direct… Kind of! Join Logan, Justin, and Chris as they walk through all the announcements in the Partner Showcase, including Star Wars Battlefront, Endless Ocean, Penny’s Big Breakaway, and Mother 3’s Switch Online release in Japan. Then, Chris and Logan share their thoughts on Mario vs. Donkey Kong… and they’re not great.

The reviews are in for Mario VS Donkey Kong, and it’s looking like a faithful remake of the GBA original. But, Logan and Chris think that DK deserves better. Plus, the panel talks about the new Princess Peach trailer, hype for Splatoon 3’s roguelite mode, and more.

It’s Logan’s favorite time of the quarter – Nintendo’s financials are in! This week in the Boardroom, join Logan, Justin, and Chris as they break down great sales numbers for Pikmin 4 and Super Mario RPG, Switch’s chance at becoming the best-selling console of all time, and if public opinion has soured on Super Mario Bros. Wonder. Then, the panel picks the best and weirdest Nintendo peripherals and accessories of all time.
