Meet Charlie Kester who is leading the charge to bring a stampede of fiberglass Arabian stallions to Scottsdale – all intended to highlight local artists, celebrate the city’s western heritage and benefit charities. Working through the Rotary Club of Scottsdale, Charlie hopes to raise $300,000 or more for good causes. Some of the 19 lifesize horses are already here. Soon artists will be painting them, businesses will be displaying them, and this spring they will be auctioned with funds benefiting non-profit groups. Well done, partner!

SkyKids is an amazing group of volunteers who give children with special needs a chance to experience the thrills of flight. Meet Ken Casey, one of the volunteers who helps make it happen. The group, which will stage the event this Saturday (Nov. 12) at Scottsdale Airport, recruits pilots to give children the chance to sit in as “co-pilots” in general aviation aircraft.
