In the news: the latest phone scam to hit us is a text claiming that a speed camera has caught us speeding over the limit and that we must pay a fine! The text looks legit and could easily trick people into forking up a lot of money. Both Carmi and Detective Constable Ferreira detail the prevalence of these kinds of scams and how you can avoid falling for them.
TTC FINING RIDERS FOR NOT PAYING THEIR FARES

The TTC is about to launch a campaign targeting riders with fines if they don't pay their fare! You will have to pay up to $425 if caught. And, the TTC will have fare inspectors checking for proof of payment regularly.
