Elon Musk has reached an agreement to buy Twitter, giving him control of the influential social network with more than 200 million users. From now on, Musk will be in charge of the company he’s been criticising for not living up to its potential as a platform for ‘free speech’. 

Do you think that Twitter should lift the ban on those who have been removed from this platform?

A record number of Americans have quit their jobs in the last 12 months – around 50 million. Meaning that roughly 4 million every month have either given up or changed their positions.  Why do you think this is happening?  Well, dissatisfaction with working conditions plus uninspiring jobs, not to mention low salaries, no opportunities for growing, and the cherry on top, terrible bosses. These reasons have made employees explore different career prospects, or create their own businesses or services. Something to look at is the situation that healthcare workers lived and, in some countries, are still living with the pandemic and Covid. Nurses and doctors are exhausted at unsustainable levels. This ended up in a shortage of healthcare workers.

I recently read an analysis on CNN about the rise in populism in the United States and Europe. If people disagree with their current government and its policies, and someone raises their voice against it, why should this person be stigmatised as populist or radical? Journalists should be on the side of the ordinary population and at the same time inquire and question authorities, not being blatantly on their side. If journalists report only one political side, then they are not different from any other tyrant. 

Actors develop certain abilities when they work on a film production: Public speaking, memorisation, spontaneity, teamwork, vocal presence, and communication. 

Some of the aforementioned abilities are strongly related to the business world. Speaking in public, giving presentations, holding conferences, motivating workforce and increasing morale, dealing with clients, and having sales meetings. 

By depicting a character, playing a role, you can overcome your fears and learn a new set of skills, allowing extra room for creativity.
