But I also pray that if you’re going through a difficult season that you are able to seek Him above all else and cast those cares over to Him. He cares for YOU! Do what brings you joy- like my family going to see my sister and her family in TN, watching the joy in children’s faces as they open gifts, watching my friend’s posts and seeing their joy! But don’t watch the news, compare/compete/complain; don’t look back with regret, guilt or shame, don’t live without hope, faith and love. Jesus wants you to have an abundantly, satisfying, hope-filled, peaceful, joyful life! Seek Him FIRST and all these things will be added into you! First Peter 5:7, Matthew 6:33, John 10:10.

Thank you for joining me on #todaystalk4yourwalk. Today’s episode is somewhat weighty with the topic of overcoming domestic violence. But I want people to know that this isn’t something they have to endure and it certainly isn’t what God wants for you! You are VICTORIOUS in Christ, a SURVIVOR but stifled, REDEEMED not reduced. The Almighty wants you to have hope in Him and healing by His blood. He paid ALL for you! Make a plan, and get out if you are experiencing abuse. I’ve walked this journey, I know it’s difficult, but YOU have the SAME power that raised Christ from the dead inside of you- use it! Lots of scripture referenced today so get out a pen to write them down, listen again if you’re driving. One I will emphasize is the life verse I claimed and have tattooed on my right shoulder is Isaiah 41:10. Please share this with someone that may need to hear this. We’re not talking about the school play ground game. Matthew 6:33 says “But SEEK FIRST the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will be added to you (emphasis mine).” Jesus makes it very clear, above all else seek Him first. Don’t worry- seek; don’t complain- seek. He knows your needs and will provide them, but he wants you to seek him FIRST. We have a part to play! We are in a relationship, a partnership, with the King of kings, shouldn’t we WANT to seek him first?!? Start your day seeking him in his word. Go about your day talking to him. He wants to hear from you. Also referenced was Ephesians 3:20. His power is at work IN YOU! Allow Him room in your heart and life; He created a whole kingdom for you to reign with Him in glory forever!

Make time for Jesus; He DIED for YOU! John 15:13 says, “There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” Jesus is our friend and therefore has great Love for us, for you my friend! As we learn to be a friend like Jesus, we also need to learn how to live and love like Jesus. 1. Meet people where they are. That’s what Jesus did. 2. Look past imperfections, because we all have them. 3. Remove your expectations. No one can meet them, and you’ll be disappointed every time. I also shared what we took the time to do at Thanksgiving. I ask you, what are you thankful this year for... I pray that you have been helped and encouraged. Blessings to you!
