Shlomit Tassa joins me to discuss how chronic stress is real and is causing leaders to have serious problems with their physical and mental health. She shares some great ideas about how to deal with stress so that it doesn't take over your life!
Shlomit Tassa was a corporate manager with frequent flyer status and an expense account. It was fun and exciting at first. But over the years, with 3 kids and aging parents added to the mix, it became overwhelming and exhausting. Following her own burnout experience, Shlomit now coaches ambitious leaders on how to avoid or recover from overwhelm and chronic stress. Today she combines work, eye rolling teens, and being a primary caregiver, with yoga, museums and travel (preferably with friends!) It requires focus and intent, but it is no longer overwhelming. She'd love to help you do the same!

When an employee survives a layoff, they aren't necessarily grateful to still have a job. Rather, feelings associated with "layoff survivor syndrome" actually negatively impact their ability to work effectively.
As a leader, you are uniquely positioned to help your employees to perform their best - no matter the economic circumstances. Check out this episode of Today's Top Leaders for information about what leaders can do to help their employees deal with being a layoff survivor.

One of the most common questions I get is: What is a personal brand anyhow?
I get it. The concept of a "personal" brand is still a bit new to many. It's easy to understand the idea of a company having a brand, but each person has a brand as well.
To help explain what a personal brand is, join me for an exploration of the personal brands of some of the most famous and influential people of all time.

Join me and recruiting expert, Robert Merrill, as we delve into the hack the biases that we each bring into the recruiting process. We cover the following:
Bio on Robert Merrill:
Robert has been in the recruiting industry since 2005 and he is passionate about the value that good recruiting can bring to companies but especially people who deserve high paying and meaningful work.
He founded ConnectedWell in 2018 with the mission to help companies solve not only hiring challenges, but improve their talent acquisition processes from A-Z, enabling companies to hire more efficiently, with less bias and more inclusion, as well as providing candidates with an excellent experience and onboarding to set them up for the highest success.
Robert is passionate about what he calls "Hiring Made Human" which touches on the idea that we should never forget the person involved at each step of the recruiting process. The hiring manager, the interviewers, and the candidates are all humans with desires and dreams. In this world of tech and automation, we should never automate human connection. The more we can connect with and truly see each other in the process, Robert believes, we will naturally level up our talent acquisition abilities and be better off ourselves for it.
