City Auditor Craig Trujillo calls in of his own volition to help solve the challenge of why the Hartford PD bought 10 fancy Chevy Tahoes for administrators to drive home from work instead of cheaper Explorers for use on patrol. The current fleet of patrol vehicles is beaten up and not dependable, and presumably puts officers and members of the public at risk as they perform their required high speed emergency functions.
