“Judge not” is the verse most quoted by people who don’t read the Bible. In the final week of Myths We Believe, we look at Matthew 7 in full: what Jesus actually said about judgment, hypocrisy, and the difference between condemnation and love.

Sometimes the most loving thing you can do is the uncomfortable thing. This message will challenge how you think about telling the truth.

“God helps those who help themselves.” It sounds like Scripture. It actually shows up in Poor Richard’s Almanack in 1736. Benjamin Franklin. Not the Bible.

The real Bible says almost the opposite. Romans 5: while we were still helpless, while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Not after we proved ourselves. While we couldn’t.
