Please join us in this prayer for God's help for the victims of the brutal attack against the people of Israel by Hamas and for the innocent civilians on both sides (Israel and Gaza) who are directly affected by the war against Hamas.
"The Angelus" is a prayer devotion commemorating the Incarnation, when Jesus, the Son of God, retaining His divine nature, took a human nature of a body and soul like ours.
This devotion originated in the 13th century and consists of three Hail Marys interspersed with responses from the Gospel of Luke 1:26-38, with the angel Gabriel's announcement to Mary that she would conceive and bear the Son of God.
The Angelus prayer devotion is traditionally prayed three times a day - morning, noon, and evening - allowing us to pause throughout our day to meditate on the Incarnation, and to ask for Mary's intercession.
Guardian angels are a profound and divine gift from God, assigned to each of us from the moment of our conception. They are messengers of God's love, protection, and guidance, always by our side, watching over us.
In Psalm 91:11-12, we read, "For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. On their hands, they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone."
Our guardian angels are not just protectors; they are our companions on our earthly journey. They whisper inspiration in our hearts, guide us away from harm, and help us discern God's will in our lives. They are like divine GPS systems, leading us safely through life's turns and twists.
In moments of darkness or despair, when we feel alone, abandoned, or uncertain. Remember this, you are never alone. Your guardian angel is with you, shining a light in the darkest of times, offering comfort and solace.
"The Prayer of St Francis" is a beautiful prayer which implores God to transform our hearts and enable us to live in compassion, mercy, and service to others through the example set forth by Jesus. His prayer encourages us to set aside our differences, and to treat others as we hope to be treated by Christ himself… with Mercy.
