 This week's episode is about FEAR and the metaphorical mountains we face.

 We have all felt it, we can all relate to it but do we have to bend our knees to it?

 Fear can be crippling, fear can be a magnitude of thing, Fear can also make you second-guess yourself and have no trust in your decisions. 

 Now it's a coincidence that this episode is released over the halloween period however, we are not talking about Count Dracula here...even though maybe he could be less scary than what life challenges you with!

 Join us on our spooky endeavour as we discuss some of our fears and how we slowly came to overcome them.

 This week's Together MAD Takeaway is a series of questions to help you work through fear when you are confronted with a challenge. 

 - Why? (why am I feeling this fear?)

 - What effect will it take on me?

 - What is the worst case scenario when confronting it?

 - Is it worth the risk?

 These questions are steps to help you face fear. Sometimes we build a wall, freeze, or run away. However when you can begin to understand your fear and reason with it, it can give you the strength to overcome it and step towards these unsettling challenges to slowly overcome what you are presented with. 

 This is our last episode of the season...Cheers mum!  

 Thank you for your support when we faced our fears and began this podcast. This passion project is a little reminder that you can do anything you put your mind into, and you don't have to let fear take the driving seat. We have all witnessed a challenging year, which has brought forward a lot of uncertainty and fear but we are in this together. We find the best way to help our fear is to communicate, with ourselves, family, friends, partners, therapists, even strangers!

 Welcome to Together Mad, The Mother & Daughter Podcast 

This weeks episode is all about Drinking, drugs, & can you say no? 

As Mum kindly reminds us of that cubicle spinning moment... You know the one that makes us hold onto the walls with dear life thinking that breathing might sober us up. Otherwise known as the moment you realise... you F****D up. (Boys, Lads, lovely Gentlemen of the TM Pod, not sure if you hold onto your urinal but you know what we mean) Its those moments when we question have we taken the night too far? 

We guess it is all a coming of age thing... however what is the age and when is it coming because we still haven't learnt our limits?!? 

So is this the nature of booze culture? It's all fun and games until the next day... This is the moment I explain to mum how sometimes the effects of a night out aren't that fun at all. 

We all know what a hangover is.... but, sometimes it hits us in different ways. Post drinking anxiety is one of the reasons I have swapped a glass of Savvy B for a sassy glass of H2o, "shaken, not stirred". Now I am not sure sobriety is going to be for me but what I do know is that drinking is a choice. So im flexing my drinking rights and saying no to the sauce until I get a little mind & body aligned so that when Mr Hangxiety wants to come for a visit im going to be prepared to single him out and not let him take the steering wheel for a couple days. 

Whilst we said we don't have a takeaway... We kind of do. 

So the Together MAD Takeaway is this...

Have you ever tried breaking up that weekly cycle? 

You know the one that starts on a Friday (or Thursday) It goes something like this...

Thirsty Thursday,

"Its Friday" Drinks,

Saturday Sauce,

Sunday Funday,

 Which leaves with the Monday blues, Terrible Tuesdays & I cant wait for the weekend Wednesday. Oh and we know that some of you make it snow, even in summer... So Ladies and Gentlemen. Let's just say that if this sounds familiar and you are feeling low every week. Maybe it's not the 'job', or the 'boyfriend/girlfriend', 'family', 'money issues' Maybe it's your weekly sessions that aren't allowing you that clarity you deserve. 

However don't just read this - Listen to the episode, gather your thoughts and let me leave you with one question to think about...

Welcome to Together Mad, The Mother & Daughter Podcast!

Join us as we discuss ' Friendship, Finding your tribe & handling loneliness' and what this mean to us.  

Mum & I find ourselves in a similar situation when it comes to friends...we love those around us but with this big shift we have faced/are facing in the recent months of isolation we have both taken our lives in new directions and have a couple vacancies open for new friendships.

We discuss past friendships that we have had to let go of and how we have learnt from a love lost...because lets face it sometimes a friendship ending feels grater than a relationship coming to a close. However as we say "when one door closes, another one opens" 

In this weeks episodes  our Together MAD Takeaway is a friendship visualisation I wrote specifically for this conversation. This was trailed and tested on mumma to give her a friendship dream journey with the intention to help her find a connection and simulate a situation on how she could do that. From there we discussed how we can take elements of this friendship dream to be able to apply it to real life situations if she was ever on the look out to make new connection and if you find yourself on the look out also, give it a go and see what visions you come up with...(DM us on instagram @togethermad we would love to know what you saw!)

With my (Isabella's) birthday coming up I find that age anxiety is particularly common for me when your about to gain another year...

It usually brings on a lot of reflection with a lace of worry as I question 

"what have I achieved" & the usual "am I doing enough".

As well as age and working through age anxiety, we also dive into other topics such as; 

- Social media & quick success

- Education & the pressures of decision making through our younger years 

- Time & its value at the work place 

With a brief sprinkle of;

- Money, Marriage & some generational pressures you face through life 

 Whilst Claire seems to be the calmer one out of us two (miss easy breezey)...

I hope that in 30 years time I will have gained some of her "let it go" mentality. 

Together we created a Together MAD Takeaway to help you problem solve some concerns that you may be facing. 

The aim here is to take back control on our worries & remember that no matter how big the task at hand may seem, if we dig a little deeper to the roots we can find a way to generate momentum, build solutions and create strategies to allow us to take back control & form a more positive mindset.
