Alex explains how he became a consultant out of University, and how the job provided him with the opportunity to work with people from various people from numerous business sectors.
He then goes on to explain what led him in 2014, to take the leap from the corporate world and begin as a co-founder for the start-up, Onedrop Inc. The company started as a small team consisting of three people, the CEO, the COO (Alex) and an engineer back in 2014. Today the company is now at 20 employees (including part-timers). Alex explains to Nick how they provide a unique service, which goes beyond the simple eikaiwa and helps clients learn communication skills.
Alex and Nick discuss about M.B.A.'s, and whether pursuing one is worth it in todays business landscape, and how an M.B.A. may not necessarily be the correct route for all people.
Alex shares with Nick a story of how another St. Marys alumni currently serve as one of the directors on his team, and how it is to work closely with someone as a business partner and a friend.

Alex attended the University of Southern California where he graduated with a bachelor's in business administration and majored in Marketing and Management Consulting.
Upon graduation,
Alex returned to Tokyo to start his career at Deloitte Tomatsu Consulting as a business consultant. After several years of experience working in the consulting industry, Alex worked at GREE Inc. a mobile gaming company where he focused mainly on corporate strategy and new business development.
In 2014, Alex cofounded Onedrops Inc., a company that specializes in global talent development & communication training service targeted towards aspiring global individuals, professionals, companies, and organizations in the Japanese market.
As COO Alex mainly looks over business acquisition, business operations, and human resources matters.
On his days off, you can find him either at the gym, on the golf course, on snowy mountains, or in the kitchen.
