Tom Osborne & Co.

America now tops the world in Covid 19 virus cases and the number is doubling every four days and on the way to reach 100 million in the next month.  In the Great Depression, Franklin Roosevelt called upon America to reject fear.  John Kennedy faced down Nikita Khrushchev in the ‘62 Cuban Missile Crisis.  Do we run or stand and fight?  US World Report radio examines America’s will and state of mind as we confront the scourge of Covid 19.

This is a very special little big issue episode. In this issue we are going to talk about the impact of the novel virus COVID-19….from the perspective of an 8 year old! I want to introduce a remarkable young man who is making his debut as this show’s reporter at large. We will be checking in with him from time to time to hear a perspective on societal events from a youngster’s point of view. So take a moment to listen and join me in welcoming our new junior editorialist Kellan!

Who do you trust and why?  What will we eat and how long will this go on?  Millennials, a generation let go and left deprived of a financial future.  Will the Coronavirus find its way into the heart of America?  Does Locking down our cities and states meaning locking out democracy?  Join the US World Report team as we assess the damage going forward.  As a side note, in 1864 amidst an armed insurgency the National elections were still held. We think we can do better in 2020!

The little big issue for this episode is all about human consciousness and technology.  Technology is never neutral and with the rapid advances in artificial intelligence it will soon be possible to connect the human brain directly to the internet. My guest today shares my opinion that instead of rushing to embrace this connected future, we should instead turn within. He speaks extensively about our innate abilities as conscious human beings that go largely untapped. He is a leading proponent of eschewing a direct connection to AI in favor of expanding our consciousness to connect with the source field of universal consciousness. To hear why our spiritual development is more important than our technological development as a species, please welcome my special guest David Sherjan.

There are many who seek to hear a voice like JFK who once called to the “young at heart regardless of age, “Be strong and of courage, be not afraid, neither be dismayed.”  Join US World Report as we examine how far we’ve fallen from that golden moment of 1963 unity. What went wrong and how do we find our way back? Tom Osborne, Dr. David Kanervo, Mary Saliba & Ken McCaleb review Donald Trump’s, Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden’s P.O.V. of the world as they know it today. Each camp has their steadfast followers, but who will finally succeed in the 2020 presidential election?

McCarthyism – Have You No Sense Of Decency Sir? Airdate: 03/07/20

McCarthyism is the practice of making accusations of subversion or treason without proper regard for evidence. The term refers to senator Joe McCarthy (R-Wisconsin) and has its origin in the period in the U.S. known as the 2nd Red Scare. (1950-1954). Orson Wells, Charlie Chaplin, Lena Horne, Pete Seeger, Woody Guthrie & hundreds of other artists, musicians, directors and actors were blacklisted and. labeled as communists. Also, 205 state department staff members were accused as well… The US World Report radio team asks the question, could this ever happen again?
