Sometimes it seems like God allows us, or even brings us to difficult places that seem overwhelming. Yesterday, I was reminded of a tough time I experienced 49 years ago. In Romans 5, Paul gives us three reasons to rejoice, glory, and exult. We tend to get excited about other things (temporal things) rather than these eternal truths. We need a change of perspective. Most emotional pain we feel after loss is like that -- fixated on the temporal. But as we learn to see the unseen reality (the eternal), we can regain joy even in the midst of pain. Join me for Today's Daily Word & Prayer to learn more
I come to you today from Roz's art studio, where she had some unfinished art projects. It's sad for me to see these, but I think God left them as a reminder of the importance of preparing for the end of life and realizing I don't have forever to accomplish what He's given me to do. Do you have unfinished business? Do you live with the realization that your race will one day be finished -- your life will be over? Join me for Today's Daily Word & Prayer to learn more..
It's hard to be happy if your life has no purpose. Traumatic loss rocks our lives and can rob us of any sense of purpose we previously had. Join me for Today's Daily Word & Prayer to learn the answer.
