One way we shine is by letting men see our good works so that they will praise our Father, who is in heaven (Matthew 5:16).
But light has another purpose: it exposes evil in the world, or what Paul refers to as "the unfruitful deeds of darkness." This is a lot tougher.

Paul uses three words to describe this walk: Goodness, righteousness, and truth. Do these three words describe your life?
If you name the name of Christ, they should. However, I often hear sincere believers quote verses to the contrary.

Jesus told us thaat we aare the light of the world. That's an amazing description, but what does it mean?
How should it effedt my daily life if I believe I am the light of the world?
It's a whole new world when we believe we are the light of the world.

It's a haunting question. After all, Jesus says we are the salt of the earth, and as such, we are to help preserve our world from the natural decay that comes when fallen human nature goes unchecked. If we are living up to our "salt" identity, it seems unbelievers would act differently around us than they would if they were with other non-Christians.

Salt has an interesting history and a use beyond what we think of today. Understanding this sheds light on what Jesus meant when He said we are the salt of the earth. It's important that you understand this and embrace this identity.

Have you seen the videos of people, mostly young women, screaming in despair and anger over Trump winning the election?
It's bizarre!
What's behind it? Are they acting? Are they mentally ill? Or is it something else spoken of in the Bible?
