Greetings, Tomb Believers!
We’re back with part seven of our ongoing summer-long Inferno event! This week we are joined by returning guest Chad Bowers, co-writer of X-MEN ’92, G.I. JOE: SNAKE EYES: DEADGAME, DEADPOOL: BAD BLOOD, and the brand new miniseries DEADPOOL: BADDER BLOOD! As you might guess from those credentials, Chad is something of an X-pert, and we are thrilled to have him join in our discussion. This week’s issues are:
You can follow Chad on Twitter and Bluesky, and you can find DEADPOOL: BADDER BLOOD #3 (along with the previous issues) online or in your local comic book shop right now! When you pick up your copy, let us know! You can send that along with any other comments, questions, or other feedback to [email protected]. As requested by Chad, this is the panel from DAREDEVIL #265 where Daredevil punches the hell out of a demonic mailbox:

Greetings, Tomb Believers!
It’s time for the sixth part of our summer-long coverage of Marvel’s 1989 Inferno crossover event! To help us out this week, we are joined once again by Ringo award nominated, Best of Austin-winning comic book writer (and creator of Halloween Man) Drew Edwards! This episode is surprisingly light on mutants for an X-event (although the one issue of X-Men we have is a big one!). But we do have plenty of Spider-Man to talk about, plus an odd Kang-centric issue of Fantastic Four. The comics we discuss in this episode are:
You can follow Drew on the network formerly known as Twitter, check out his comics at GlobalComix, and listen to him talk about spooky movies on the Castle of Horror Podcast!
As discussed at the end of the episode, Trey and James will be appearing on the Graymalkin Lane Podcast to discuss X-Men: the Hidden Years with host Chad Anderson and comics writer/comedian/Emmy-nominated writer for THE LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT Daniel Kibblesmith! That episode drops on Monday, August 21, 2023 – the Monday after this episode of TOI – and you can listen to it at this link (or wherever you prefer to get your podcasts).

Don’t touch that dial, Tomb Believers!
We’re turning up the heat on our Inferno coverage thanks to special guest Jack Rudo of Stapled Spine! Not only does he join in on our discussion of this week’s comics, but in true DJ fashion he has picked out a song to go with each book! The issues for this week are:
This week has a little bit of everything – plenty of mutant action, more McFarlane Spider on Goblin action, the beginning of possibly the weirdest Avengers run, and our first ever look at an issue of Power Pack! As always, you can send any comments, questions, or other feedback to [email protected]. Plus, be sure to follow us on our Facebook page, on Twitter @TombofIdeas, and now on Instagram @tombofideas!

Roll for initiative, Tomb-Believers!
You have encountered a very special episode of the Tomb in which James and Trey are joined by the Fire and Water Network‘s Irredeemable Shag and comics and video game writer David Gallaher to play the 1980’s Marvel Super Heroes Roleplaying Game (affectionately known as FASERIP) from dearly departed TSR!!!
Turn order is:

Shag as Illyana Rasputin/Magik

Welcome back, Tomb-Believers, to the TOMB OF IDEAS, or should we say TOMB OF INFERNO!
That’s right, it’s our third installment of our summer-long (and then some) look at the event to was burning up the X-books of 1988 and half the Marvel Universe with it and you (yes YOU) lucky listener, are invited along for the ride. Not just you, however, as we will also be joined on this journey of damnation by Cinema Smorgasbord ‘s own Adrianna as we discuss:

We’re continuing with the second installment of our summer(ish) event covering all of the 1988-89 X-Men storyline INFERNO. This week we are joined by noted X-Men fan and Cinepunx Pod-Daddy Liam O’Donnell! He’s here to help us get through a bunch of Marvel comics that are surprisingly light on X-Men:
Along with the expected mutants vs goblins action, we’ve got some Todd McFarlane Spidey art, Daredevil fighting a vacuum cleaner, and Jarvis confronting a killer robot! To hear more of Liam talking about movies, music, and other pop culture, make sure to check out Cinepunx, Horror Business, and Cinema Smorgasbord – but of course if you’re here you already knew that, right?

Greetings, Tomb Believers!
June is upon us, and as we have promised (threatened?) for the last several episodes we are spending the summer covering the 1988-89 Marvel event INFERNO! We’re starting at the very top with several issues that serve as something of a prelude to the event proper. This week we are discussing:
While this epic event spans a broad spectrum of the Marvel Universe, it is first and foremost an X-Men story arc. Since neither Trey nor James are exactly well-versed in that corner of Marvel, they’ve called in an X-pert. We are thrilled to be joined by Chad Anderson of the fantastic Graymalkin Lane podcast, who graciously provides both the continuity and social/cultural contexts we need to properly kick off this miniseries.

Greetings, Tomb Believers!
We have made it to the finish line! In this episode we conclude our coverage of the 2021 HEROES REBORN event. As with our previous episodes, we have a couple of tie-in issues that further flesh out the supporting characters and status quo of President Coulson’s altered Marvel Universe while in the main book the Squadron Supreme of America finally comes into direct contact with Blade’s reconstituted team of Avengers. What is the secret origin of this altered reality? Can the Avengers defeat the Squadron in open combat? Why did President Coulson invade Canada? All of these questions (well, except the Canada one) will be answered! Our issues for this week are:
