This week we’ve got a fang-tastic set of stories featuring the Lord of the Undead himself, Dracula! First up, in super-sized monster mag DRACULA LIVES #7 we cover four different stories that span four very different times and places in Dracula’s afterlife. We go from a 1974 Washington, DC murder mystery in “Here Comes the Death Man” to the deserts of the southwest in “Blood Moon.” Next, Dracula contends with 17th century pirates in “Assault of the She-Pirate.” Then we finish the magazine with the third chapter of Roy Thomas and Dick Giordano’s adaptation of the original Bram Stoker novel. Finally, we round out the episode with our second book of the week,  TOMB OF DRACULA #22. In this issue, we take a break from the title’s ongoing story while Dracula contends with a disrespectful and rebellious young vampire who is tormenting a Russian village.

We’re kicking off 2021 by wrapping up our coverage of June 1974. First up in GHOST RIDER #6 Johnny Blaze is in trouble with the law, while 400 miles away the Zodiac gang(?) goes on a crime spree targeting…the leader of the Zodiac gang?! Next, in STRANGE TALES #174 we re-introduce ourselves to another addition to the Marvel menagerie of monsters – The Golem! Finally in MAN-THING #6 we have a surprisingly touching and spiritual conclusion to the mystery of Darrel Daniel, the spectral clown who began haunting Richard Rory and Ruth Hart.

It’s a holiday miracle! Trey and James continue their readthrough of Marvel horror comics from June 1974, and this time they are joined by special guest (and James’ stepdaughter) Lilith! This week is a Dracula doubleheader, with two full-length stories featuring the Lord of the Vampires. First, we continue Dracula’s confrontation with the mysterious Dr. Sun in TOMB OF DRACULA #21. Then we launch a brand-new (and soon to change) title with GIANT-SIZE CHILLERS #1 featuring the Curse of Dracula. In addition to the titular vamp, CHILLERS also introduces a new character to our monstrous Marvel pantheon: the daughter of Dracula, who coincidentally also happens to be named Lilith!

This week, they sink their teeth into the month of June 1974 with two titles starring the Living Vampire himself, the man called Morbius! First up, Morbius takes a detour into a kingdom of furries in ADVENTURE INTO FEAR #22. Next, in the Marvel magazine VAMPIRE TALES #5, Morbius continues his investigation into the Demon-Fire cult.
