    We skipped out on ya last week, so we spent a little time catching up to begin the episode. Timmy tells a tale of his car dying twice in the -48 cold a week ago, while Briggsy kept it Riel over the weekend, and even suited up in some goalie gear! A big friend of the show gets ENGAGED as well! As far as relevant news to you guys, we talk everything from Panarin sh*tting his pants to Cory Schneider FINALLY winning his first game in 14 months! THE DEVILSSSSSS! We conclude the episode with an in depth look at the looming NHL Trade Deadline, and we watch in disgust(live) as the wheels completely fall off the Winnipeg Jets on Wednesday night against the Colorado Avalanche.   • Episode 29: Winnipeg Gets ICED! Ft. Cody Cleave
    Friend of the show Cody Cleave join the podcast for the entire episode, but it's Timmy who kicks off this weeks eppy discussing his new personal trainer, Gavin McHale! We briefly discuss the success of the New England Patriots, and dive into the details of the Winnipeg Ice, the WHL's newest team. Timmy breaks down their temporary home, new arena details, and players to watch including captain Peyton Krebs, and Winnipeg product Duncan McGovern. The boys also discuss what this move will mean for the Manitoba Moose, and how they better lower their friggin' beer prices! Shifting gears to the NHL, we focus on the Predators, who added a pair of solid players via trade. Briggsy then recalls hilarious from his first Junior B tryout. The boys also look to the rest of the league to discuss some trades, and talk Auston Matthew's new contract, and what it may mean for other upcoming RFA's. Jets bench boss Paul Maurice hits 1500 games, and we get into a spirited debate on what is wrong with Patrik Laine. We close out the episode hitting on some news around the league involving the Ducks sucking, Philly's ‘Prodigy in net’, and we laugh at Elias Lindholm’s ballsy troll job in Carolina. Briggsy caps the eppy by running through his Tongues Out No-Star team, and we take some #tonguesoutpucktalk questions, including a spirited debated about Theo Fleury and Rick Nash’s HHOF chances.   • Episode 27: ft. Reid Pennington, AHL’er For a Day
    Following the Moose game Wednesday night , we were stoked to welcome Reid Pennington to the pod! Reid is a young local goaltender who is fresh off 4 years in the Manitoba Major Junior Hockey League, splitting his time between the Ft. Garry Twins and St. Boniface Riels. Pennington’s dream came true as he was summoned as the Emergency Backup for the AHL's Iowa Wild back in November. He goes into great detail about his experience, including getting the call from Jets Asst. GM 'Zinger' the day before, taking inthe full game day preparation with the squad, history lessons from Iowa's Head Coach as well as his in game experience. Reid even takes the time to reflect on some local goalie influences growing up. He opens up about his minor hockey days, including playing Triple-A hockey here in Winnipeg, as well as suiting up for his high school team. Our guest even sticks around to discuss the success of our Jets, and we hit the headlines around the league, including big John Scott's brush with death, and the retirement of Jarome Iginla's number 12 in Calgary. Timmy even breaks a trade live on air! Thanks to Reid for one hell of an interview, and we wish him good luck as he takes his talents across the Atlantic to The Netherlands on a school exchange program in just a few weeks!

    Welcome to 2019! Tongues Out returns with its first episode of the year, and Timmy is on his game! We highlight Finland’s performance and our favourite moments from the World Juniors, and briefly touch on the Spengler Cup, including a great story on Canada’s Kevin Bieksa. We shift gears to talk All Star Game snubs, and have a message for all the ‘ASG’ complainers. Crosby and Ovechkin are currently tied in career points, and Journeyman Mike McKenna is the Flyers 7th goalie to dress this season. What a graveyard! We wrap up the episode reviewing the leagues 8 true contenders, and Timmy delivers an epic birthday segment, with a mega blunder before wishing Briggsy a happy 30th bday. Shoot the hockey !!!!

    Tongues Out wishes the listeners a Merry Christmas, and we kick things off recapping the ‘Year of Ovi’ and discuss the probability of him breaking Gretzky’s all time goal record. Jets Talk returns for the first time in over a month, and we gush about our hometown powerhouse club. We reflect on Don Cherry’s ‘Rock Em Sock Em’s’ on some surprises and disappointment of the season, talk Bob Cole (ooohhh baby), Jori Lehtera’s Cocaine conundrum, and hit on the headlines Daniel Carcillo has been making regarding hazing in hockey, and share some of our own experiences.     Winnipeg Jets Legend Thomas Steen joins the podcast for just under an hour, and shares some of his fondest memories as a Winnipeg Jet. He also was excited to talk about his Canada Cup performances in the 80’s, and of course we reflect on the city that had its heart ripped out back in 1996. We won’t spoil it for you, though!     Episode 23 features none other than Washington Captals Emergency Backup Goaltender and Winnipeg,Manitoba product Gavin McHale. McHale joins the boys and walks us through his experience of getting the call for the Caps last week, living his NHL dream by filling in for an injured Braden Holtby. You can’t make this stuff up. McHale talks about everything from his white knuckle ride to the rink, the first Capitals players to greet him walking in, and finally warmup (his time to shine!) and the game itself. We follow up with his postgame experience, and if that isn’t enough, he willingly shares some legendary stories about his time in the Western Hockey League, including talk of some notable teammates and opponents such as Thomas Hickey(NYI), Nate Thompson (LA),ex-Jet Aaron Gagnon,tough guy and ex-Moose Zack Fitzgerald, and current Montreal Canadiens Shea Weber and Carey Price. Next, we are joined by frequent guest Derek Blanchard via phone call, who tells an unbelievably awesome story about Top Red Wings Prospect Filip Zadina.
