Tongues Out! The Hockey Show

Friend of the show and big Senators fan Don Ross returns for Episode 21 to discuss the unfortunate incident involving his team. We move on quickly to talk Coach firings in LA and Chicago, and discuss chugging beers for Jake Virtanen. Jets talk is mandatory, and we touch on Brendan Lemieux and the bad boys of the NHL. We end the eppy with some feel good stories of the season, and cap it all off with some interesting fan submitted topics. Don Ross then grills the guys with some NHL Draft trivia. Episode 20 is a big deal, we’ve made it this far ! We are full of chocolate tonight, and the Canucks are quickly becoming our team of choice on podcast night. Vancouver native Evander Kane kicks of the episode with some controversial (surprise) news, and we hit some headlines around the league. We talk Jets and Panthers in Helsinki, and wonder what the heck is wrong with Patrik Laine? Buckle up, as we break down a brief report on every NHL team, and of course fill it with the usual banter and random stories. Episode 19 begins like no other . Co host Timmy breaks some serious WHL News involving a goal judge being removed from a game between Kootenay and Brandon in Cranbrook, BC (the post appeared on the bardown.com) Our guest of honour for the eppy is MJHL Referee Keith Buffie, who bares all in a ‘Tongues Out Exclusive Interview’, and the boys trade some priceless stories of their days playing and reffing in the beautiful rinks around Manitoba .Keith has seen it all wearing the stripes over the last 13 years !We finish off the episode with a quick NHL update around the league, including some Jets talk and we touch briefly on the retirement of Jordin Tootoo.We find out late in the episode the truth behind the ‘Kootenay Incident’. Tongues Out Returns after a one week hiatus, and delivers the goods. Connor McDavid is sick, apparently! We dive into the NHL season so far, talking everything from goalie injuries to surprising starts from the Devils, Senators and Hurricanes. We hit a Moose game last weekend, break it down and of course Talk JETS, regarding their iffy start to the season. Its snowing in Winnipeg, and that can only mean one thing : It’s opening night in the NHL! Tongues Out is dying for some real hockey news, and there’s no shortage of content this week. From Tom Wilson’s suspension to Brad Marchand losing his mind on poor Lars Eller. Big friend of the show Shayne Forrester was doing shots with a former Canadian World Junior Agitator, and the boys highlight some league headlines. Timmy recalls a drunken stupor and run in with Mike Keane , and we make our Award Predictions for the year. We finish of the the eppy with some JETS TALK, WHL news, and Patrik Laine throwing shade at the Vancouver Canucks. The last of the previews, We waste no time dismantling our favourite division from top to bottom. It’s well documented that Timmy loves the Penguins and Briggsy is a Devils fan, so there’s no way you can predict who Timmy projects to win the division !Maybe the Penguins should have kept Fleury? We dabble in everything thing from puck to politics and sweet potatoes. We’d be remiss if we didn’t mention a mascot named ‘Gritty’ absolutely crippling the internet at the moment.....Of course,Timmy gets heated as per usual which is always great for a laugh! Enjoy this surprisingly unbiased episode! A very special ‘German Rocket’ turned 30 last week as well, so the boys pay tribute to a big friend of the show over in Berlin!

Eppy 15 kicks off with some talk of players reporting to training camp ‘out of shape’ which hits close to home, as we reminisce of the summers we’ve maybe enjoyed a little ‘too much’. Timmy brings you his weekly segment ‘Rollin’ On Dubs, and we discuss how we think the NHL would actually work in Saskatoon, land of the melon-heads! Screw Seattle! We also dish out our preview of the Atlantic Division. Apologies to our Sens and Red Wings fans that listen. To boot, Briggs is literally dripping snot throughout the episode, so a big thanks to Timmy for carrying the show when needed!

Roles are reversed, as Timmy hosts and brings you his own preview of the ‘Best Division in Hockey’ Central Division(recorded sep 19). We venture off as usual, including some talk of Duncan’Stu’Keith being a former teammate of ours. Briggsy’s creative juices are flowing, as he may or may not have had a few tough guy sodas, which is evident by the amount of pee breaks. Good thing Timmy is hosting !We wonder why we know so many Avalanche fans, and question the depth of the Jets goaltending .We recorded this bad boy way past our bedtimes, so please bear with us.
