As you've seen, Season 3 is dedicated to my father, Mike Jacox, who passed away late in 2021. I Love and miss you, Dad.
Our next guest, Tony Bowie, is the CEO of Child Study Treatment within the Washington Department of Health and Social Services. Tony and I were college teammates at Central Washington University; yes, this is another #UncleRico moment. Tony and his beautiful wife are proud parents of his 14-year-old son and 16-year-old daughter.
Tony grew up raised by a powerful and supportive single mom. She taught him so much about resiliency, adversity, love, hard work, and more! He always knew he was loved, which is something that he passes down to his children now.
Tony and I talked about diversity, race relations, and having bi-racial kids. We also talked about the power of listening and making sure we LOVE our kids every day. Lastly, make sure you always show love to your wife in front of your kids—simple but powerful advice. Tony has also been involved with Goodwill and continues to be someone who positively impacts his community.
