Cindy sits down with a fellow transracial adoptee, Isaac Etter, who is a Black man that was adopted by a White family at the age of 2.  Isaac discusses his TA experience and his woke moment of being a Black man.  He also talks about his first experience going to an HBCU homecoming (Morehouse), what he discovered and coming out twice and whether or not it was harder to come out being Black or Queer.  

Isaac is the CEO of Etter Consulting, where he prepares families for their transracial adoption to accept their child into an educated and inclusive home.  He also creates awareness around racism and bias with families, students and social workers and attacks the roots of racism and not just the surface.  Isaac also makes a very special announcement at the end that you do not want to miss!

Cindy sits down with her Brother & Best Friend, Adrian!  They talk about what it was like growing up in their household and how they were so different but not in the way you would think.  Adrian discussed the many boxes that people tried to put him in.  Some he embraced and others made him question what it meant to be a Black man.  They also have a conversation about their favorite person, Alex (Adrian's daughter) and what he wants to teach her about embracing who she is!

Mississippi State Representative, Chris Bell, shares with Cindy about his vote to remove the confederate symbol from the MS flag.  They discuss why MS was the last state to remove the symbol, what are the next steps for the new MS flag and what needs to happen to move MS forward.  Listen as Chris describes what that emotional day was like for him to press the button on removing a piece of history that has only served as a hurtful reminder to not only him but so many others that live in MS.  Chris discusses how important the next Presidential election is and how he gets his wins through actions and not arguments!

Cindy sits down with Samantha Ramirez-Herrera as they discuss Sam's journey as a Dreamer and how she feels about the recent 5-4 Supreme Court ruling to uphold DACA.  Sam shares her inspirational story of growing up in Mexico and moving to the United States as a child and an undocumented immigrant.  She discusses the many obstacles that she has had to overcome to become an Entrepreneur, Filmmaker and the amazing woman that she is today!  Sam has learned to look fear in the face and lives by her mantra, "F*CK FEAR!"  She lives unapologetically and encourages so many others to do the same!
