Too Much To Say To Be Quiet

Thinking out loud about the internal bias we have and whether we check in with it

Just a apology for upping and leaving (or so it appears )

Unconscious bias or open judgement seriously ladies why are we so cruel to each other

Lots of conversation this week has meant i have spent along time over thinking and self reflection and speaking to others....... Whats your thoughts ?

Looking at ( or starting to ) the barriers we face, the social, medical and functional disability model's and what the impact of that is to us and society

A quick apology for the long break and starting to talk about ableism and how we need to adapt to be inclusive

Looking at systems and processes critically and being challenged for advocating on behalf of the most vulnerable, Why don't we all want the same and why are systems so dependant on outcomes at the cost of our children's and young peoples wellbeing.

Thinking about what we are accustomed to and what we accept it because we don't 'think' enough about it, we need to strip it back so we aren't accepting what we are used to!! We need to think actively about what's wrong in society and what's so unbalanced ( my comment about Domestic Violence wasn't intended to undervalue the situation or impact just highlight how its not accepted to victim blame )

Reflection is key but we can only reflect on what we know, however do we understand its not ok or have we accepted it because we dont know any different or we haven't realised YET !!

Reflection is easy for some of us and harder for others, I reflect far too much and it's a personal flaw, what gets me through humour, like many of us it's personal, I may laugh until my sides hurt at something whilst you barely crack a smile but why do we find things funny and why when life's difficult does humour and laughter make it better ? This all came after listening to an interview with a well known comedian that makes many of us cringe.
