Canada’s Queen of Afropop (and a real-life Nigerian princess) releases her fearless and emotionally charged new single and video “Beside Me” with CEAMA House, The Canadian Emerging Artists Music Awards- Artist In Residence Program. The single is raw and emotional. Singer, songwriter, and actress Amanda Page Cornett is bringing southern rock n’ soul to the world!

Featured in the 2009 movie, "Junkyard Dog,” Cornett also has acted in various films, music videos, and commercials.

Amanda's band, Almost Angels, features the sibling trio Sherry Peterson-Tenille, Shawn Peterson, and Randall Scott Peterson. Together, they have had the honor of playing with special guest musicians, including bassist Tim Lawter ( Marshall Tucker Band) as well as Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame drummer Artimus Pyle (Lynryd Skynryd).

​Released in 2018, Cornett’s album Front Porch Rebel was recorded at NuttHouse Studio in Sheffield, AL and features songs written at Muscle Shoals’ famous Fame Studios (Aretha Franklin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Allman Brothers, Etta James).  

​Amanda has released, with great acclaim, numerous singles, including "Carolina Coast", "Throw A Lil Gas", "Six String Showdown", and "Soldier's Girl".

​Amanda and Almost Angels were so excited to be named The Missisippi Music Awards 2023 Southrn Rock Band of the Year!  Amanda was also nominated as Female Vocalist of the Year for the 2024 Carolina Coutnry Music Awards!

Today on Too Opinionated, we sit down for a chat with actor Colton Gobbo!

Colton began appearing in television with supporting roles in Fear Thy Neighbor, Orphan Black, What Would Sal Do?, Taken and Titans.

In 2016, Colton played Jared in the television film For Love & Honor.  In the same year, Colton starred as Barney in the comedy drama film Operation Christmas List.

 In 2019, Colton appeared as Lettermen in the horror film Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark directed by André Øvredal, based on the children's book series of the same name by Alvin Schwartz 

In 2021, Colton was cast in his first major role as Noah, the son of Naomi Watts's character in the thriller film The Desperate Hour. He also began appearing on the Netflix show, Ginny and Georgia as Jordan.

In 2022, Gobbo was cast to play the main role of Mike Critch Jr. in the comedy series Son of a Critch.

Canadian Super Star entrepreneur, Sleep Country Canada Co-Founder Gordon Lownds entered the literary world with a bang. with his new memoir, “Cracking Up” - from rising star to junkie despair in 1,000 days available now wherever books are sold.

A native of Wroclaw, Poland, Martin started his career as an international sportswriter, broadcaster and author, spending two decades covering NBA games and publishing two acclaimed books on basketball. It was during this time that he met the late Kobe Bryant, who encouraged him to follow his passion for performance.

Inspired by that advice, and an obsession with classic films, James Bond thrillers, and the work of Robert De Niro, Martin began training as an actor in his 30s, studying intensively at the Stella Adler Theater and the Beverly Hills Playhouse.

He officially made the leap to full-time acting in his early 40s and quickly built an impressive resume, appearing in hit series like Stranger Things (Netflix), The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (Amazon), Better Call Saul (AMC), and Young Sheldon (CBS). His film credits include James Gunn’s reboot of Superman, Amsterdam, The Gray Man, The Hunt, and Red Notice, where he played a prison tower sharpshooter. He’s also recognized for his villainous turn as Lt. Nikolai Zybulski in TNT’s post-apocalyptic series The Last Ship.

In addition to his on-camera work, Martin does significant voice work for computer and video games, most notably as fan-favorite “Krueger” in the Call of Duty video game franchise. A lifelong rock music fan, he once fronted a heavy metal band in Poland called Army of Darkness. He’s also an avid art collector, with a particular interest in South American contemporary art and 18th-century English portraiture.

Grace Chan was born in San Diego, California, but grew up in Hong Kong. She was raised with the influence of her Chinese father and Australian mother. In 2010, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where she studied and honed her craft of dancing. In 2018, Grace attended Pace University in New York City to study commercial dance. She then moved back to Atlanta in 2020 and began working in the professional dance industry, while studying acting as well.

Grace is known for her work on Descendants: The Rise of Red. She can currently be seen as Robot #12 in James Gunn's Superman!
