This banger of an episode kicks off with Jay and Tai reflecting on reaching their first major podcast milestone (10 episodes!!), talking about their recent livestream and the direction they see Too Thurl heading. Then they welcome their second-ever guest, Derek from Providence — someone Jay bonded with and formed a lifelong friendship at Full Sail University nearly 15 years ago. Although Jay only spent about eight months at Full Sail and the two haven’t seen each other in person since, they’ve stayed close through sports, video games, and eventually finding themselves in a similar chapter of life as single dads to sons.

Derek shares the story of how he originally met Jay and drops a bomb that completely blows Taiwan’s mind. The conversation moves into sports, including AJ Brown on the Patriots, Jaylen Brown, and the Sixers/Celtics rivalry. To close things out, Derek gives his Top 5 Philly Sports Moments, where he proceeds to absolutely clown Jay and Tai along the way.
