Last February, artist Kathy Vajda built simulated cities of snow and ice, outside the View arts center in Old Forge, using plastic packaging containers as molds. Her show this winter, "Snow Cities," is a series of digital prints that document the cities as they melt and slip away. The exhibit continues through next March. There is a playful, science fiction quality to the snow structures, and a serious side.Vajda told Todd Moe that she hopes the exhibit reflects the way many relate to climate change.
