Everything originates from somewhere - and this country is no different. Although learning history is so crucial to precent the repeating of mistakes, missteps and evil doings, teaching accurate, truthful history is a hill that educators have long been fighting. The ramifications of one sided history are felt for generations and considering where we are in the world today, we are long past due a brutally honest conversation about how to make things right.
I am back after.....years! healthier than every before and ready to connect with the world again. For this episode, starting off sweet and easy with a gentle discussion around some of the most anticipated movies of 2023.
An easy listen, a quick way to get comfortable with each other again.
If you stuck around all this time, thank you!
If you are just listening for the first time, THANK YOU!

Smart, determined and relentless: 3 words that quickly describe our first two graduates. Sarah, a graduate from the Johnson and Wales University, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and a minor in Advertising (anybody else getting Peggy from Madmen vibes?) after only 3 years (summa cum laude might I add) and Brian, who is graduating this year from Attleboro High School with a 4.0 GPA and acceptance into the highly selective Computer Science program at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Support these awesome kids as they embark on the next chapter of their lives by going onto my Instagram (Tophertalks2020) and liking/ commenting on their pics.
Five Sundays in May?! Well alright then, what better way to take advantage of an extra Sunday than to have a little fun? Deviating off the beaten path yet again (it's becoming a habit for me)- let's take a breathe and look back at some of our other episodes and catch up on what's been happening since they aired.
This episode deviates from our monthly topic due to its seriousness and importance. Love having fun with ya'll but needed to take a minute and shout out an important issue. Please check out- www.care.org/togetherforher
Old folks are having sex- TONS of it. And unprotected sex at that. So not only are they enjoying higher levels of sexual freedom and sexual activity than we expected....but they are also experiencing higher rates of ______! *gasp*. How rude of me not to give you the answer! Guess you'll have to listen to the podcast to find out.
In this episode, we look at the top 10 most Googled questions about sex, as well as introduce and discuss some stats shared by RAINN. I also try a little something new- introducing "segments". Listen, comment, message. Get involved.
Sex is a complicated, confusing, often times scary topic for us as parents to discuss with our kids- but why? Let's start working to remove the stigma around the dreaded S-E-X topic, and this episode discusses my own personal experiences growing up, as well as how it impacts the convos we have in our home with our kids.
Quick, short and sweet. Bidding adieu to our month of financial discussion, hopefully with some easy lessons learned along the way! If you're interested in any additional resources, remember to check out Instagram- Tophertalks2020. I will be posting supplemental information there that goes along with the things we have talked about this month (there may already be some sweet things there that you can look through).
