Chp. 17 verses 1 - 8: Begins with a blemished sacrifice. Continues with the penalties for idol worship.

Chp. 17 verses 15 - 20: The continuation of the laws concerning a King of Israel. An emphasis on his responsibility to lead the nation on both a secular and spiritual level. He must be humble!

Chp. 15 verses 9 - 14: Continues with the release of any debts at the end of the 7th year. The Mitzvah of giving charity and the laws of the Jewish slave.

Re'eh 1, Chp. 11 verses 26 - 28: Introduction, Moshe tells the nation not just to listen but also to see, and chose between blessing and curses.

Chp. 11 verses 29 - 32, Moshe finishes off the chp. with a warning that they should guard and keep all the commandments which G-d has given them. Chp. 12 verses1 - 7: Moshe tells them that when they enter the land that they are commanded to destroy all forms of idolatry. In addition they should change the names of the places where idols were worshiped. But there is warning not to do the same to our G-d, never to erase His name.

Chp. 14 Verses 23 - 29: The Second tithing and the Tithing for the poor.

Chp. 15 verses 1 - 8: The chapter begins with the commandment to absolve all debts on the sabbatical, 7th year. The portion continues with the Commandment to help your brother who is destitute with charity, and kind words.

Chp. 16 verses 1 - 17: Moshe reviews the 3 holidays of Passover, Shavuot, and Sukkot and some of their laws.

Chp. 15 verses 15 - 23: Continues with the laws of a Jewish Slave. The chapter ends with the laws of a firstborn animal.
