Kabbalah Café
All for the Sake of Heaven - Part 24
Shabbat Food
With Rabbi Ari Sollish
Recorded live at The Torah Center ATL on Sunday, January 25th,2026.
When you think of Shabbat food what comes to mind? Maybe fresh challah, gefilte fish, matzah ball soup, brisket, and potato kugel (if you're Ashkenazi).
But according to Jewish mysticism, the real story isn’t just what we eat on Shabbat -- it’s what changes.
On Shabbat, all of reality is more spiritually aligned. The world itself is elevated. And because food is part of that world, what we eat on Shabbat is fundamentally different from what we eat during the week. It might be the same ingredients, but it's on a different level.
In this session of Kabbalah Café we explore Shabbat’s weekly upgrade, and how to consciously tap into the energy that’s on our table.
