Off Script With Lucie Jones

Tosh Wanogho-Maud

Listen Later

Lucie sits down in front of a live audience with Tosh Wanogho-Maud (The Lion King, Book of Mormon) to chat about being in the theatre since he was a child, auditioning for the Lion King in New York while on a family trip there, the life changing injury that almost meant he would never dance again, and the time he ended up taking off nearly all his clothes on stage because he forgot the words to a song!

Award winning musical theatre star Lucie Jones is no stranger to being front and centre on a West End Stage. Most recently she has played the lead of Jenna in Waitress, been Elphaba in Wicked and Fantine in Les Misérables, as well as presenting a weekly show on Magic’s digital station Magic at the Musicals.

Recorded on stage in front of a live audience this podcast draws back the curtain on what life is really like for a musical theatre performer. She will chat with guests about everything from the audition process (good and bad!), opening night nerves, the best and worst roles they have played, what really goes on backstage and what happens when the applause stops!

A must listen for fans of musical theatre everywhere!Lemar (Fame Academy, platinum selling artist, Sister Act) and Lizzie Bea (Hairspray, Heathers, Sister Act). They chat about how they got into the 'biz,, how Lemar made the jump from music to musical theatre (and working with Lizzie on Sister Act) plus Lizzie tells us about a very strange experience she had with Mariah Carey....
