Cindy Arevalo is a survivor of sexual abuse at the hands of one of her teachers. She recently released her book "Living in Silence: Finding My Voice, Claiming My Freedom" to break the silence she ones lived in. In breaking the silence, Cindy tells how she found her voice and claimed her freedom, inviting others to do the same and take back control of the life they thought they could never get back. This episode discusses her book as well as things that we can all do to better aid survivors of sexual abuse.
