Town Meeting, a Gilmore Girls Rewatch Podcast

Created by Sandra, Emily and Jess.

We're back with the bits! Strap in because Sandra's got a lot of doom and gloom for us in this week's references. Emily digs into a beautiful song from a band with a rough financial history, and Jess is underwhelmed by the majority of the episode's costuming choices (ah, the early 2000s where your shirt could be rhinestoned and tokenizing at the same time!). Join us for the second half of our look at Let The Games Begin!

The games have begun (or is it the beginning of the end?), and we have a lot of thoughts! But those thoughts are coming from very tired hosts, so bear with us! Join us for this episode as we discuss Soft Boyfriend Jess (Mariano), the walnut salad fiasco, YALE, Kool-Aid man Luke, and get your daily Fish Facts from Jess (cohost). Also in this episode:  #1 parent Luke Danes returns, 3 proposals and a bookcase, overt drooling over the iconic Kiss Scene, and more!

We're still tap-tap-tapping at the Dance Marathon, but this time we're talking background details, such as: the title of the episode (which comes from an...interesting movie), the kinds of books Jess Mariano likes to read at 5am (is Jess...pretentious?), and of course, the fashion that took this episode to another level (except for one...disappointing character). Join us as we discuss Kenny Ortega, Big Band Music and Victory Rolls!

It's the Dance Marathon episode!! Put your hair in some victory rolls, wear your highest and most vintage heels, and throw on your best military-esque dress, or you know, don't. That's okay, too! In this episode, Sandra calls a love interest "beige", Emily gets lost in a time black hole, and Jess loves "magician" Taylor. And oh, yeah - there's a break-up! Bye, bye Dean! Helllllllo, Jess. Let's see how long this last (spoiler alert: barely a season...).

Take the Deviled Eggs Part 2! We have all the references, books, and fashion you can handle for for this episode. We have a reference that's a weirdly dark...joke? Beloved childhood books, and is Rory wearing a jean vest? Sandra is deeply hurt by some audio left on the cutting room floor from our episode with John Cabrera (aka Brian), and Jess has a fun life announcement! We are eternally grateful for the response to our new schedule and so incredibly thankful for the support from you all. Join us this week for the second half of Take the Deviled Eggs!

Our first official split episode with our new schedule, we have the episode discussion for Take the Deviled Eggs! Stars Hollow is rocked by so much scandal, Jess has a new car, Taylor is getting special presents from birds, and the town loner wants to protest....something. Join us while we discuss Shane's motive for leaving her bra in the back seat, is Sherry insanely naive or insanely cruel, and uh oh, Luke has a mystery to solve.

Ch-ch-ch-changes...for the podcast, but not so much for the Gilmore Girls. No, not much happens in this episode that carries over, except for the Jess Mariano of it all, of course. Join us as we discuss Sandra being a pizza snob, Jess being okay with a bad date if it means Bowie, and Emily announcing something incredibly exciting!!

And oh, those ch-ch-ch-changes? Well, stay tuned to the very end to hear a very frank and honest discussion by the Town Meeting Gals as we discuss highs, lows, mental health, and exhaustion. (Spoiler Alert: the podcast will continue...just at a slower rate!)

The wait is over! Here's our big surprise... we were lucky enough to record this episode with the one, the only: John Cabrera (aka Brian Fuller)! We had a BLAST discussing this episode with John. Join us as we discuss John's/Brian's first episode, hear about John's experience of being cast, and learn the surprising role he wanted more than Brian! We chat about the villainization of Shane, learn why the background actors always look a bit too old for high school, and we roast the heck out of a bad purple wig. We're so grateful to John for joining us and sharing about his experience and thoughts on Gilmore Girls as a whole! Grab yourself a snack and a drink and get cozy to enjoy this oversized episode. And don't forget to send your angsty Dave Rygalski fanfiction to John!

**Audio disclaimer: Recording 4 different people, in 4 different states, all with different audio setups is HARD! The beginning and end of the episode are a little choppy, but we hope you'll still enjoy this ep!**

We're so sorry that we don't have a new episode this week, but we promise that what's coming is worth the wait! We've got a very BIG very EXCITING very SURPRISING episode in the works that's just going to take us a bit longer to edit than planned. We'll see you next week!
