Toy Power Podcast

Today on the Toy Power Podcast, we welcome a very special guest - Danielle Gelehrter aka Penny Dreadful. She's well known in the Masters community and has worked with MV Creations, Super7 and PowerCon crew to help shape the brand we love. Find out about her love of horror movies, her crazy Uncle, the epic quest to collect all the newspaper MOTU strips and even a tease about what Dark Horse books have planned next! While originally intended as a MOTU Classics retrospective, we get a little sidetracked and cover not only Masters but even stories about how to handle toys falling over and preventing the evil attack of dust! So strap yourselves in fans for one of our longer episodes - there's just too much good stuff to edit out!

Toys That Made Us S2, Zoids, 90s toys

Today on the Toy Power Podcast, we fight our way through some winter coughs to give you all the goss. SDCC is coming and so are some of the early reveals : NECA show off some TMNT, Gremlins and Predator figures. There's a new MP Prime coming, a show-accurate White Power Ranger and the biggest most expensive "toy" we've ever seen! (Hint: it involves a T-rex!) There's even a Transformers trailer that didn't make Frank cry! We also touch on the state of Aussie retail chains with some big news coming from Target. And finally some amazing news from our friends at TTTMU that makes us think that Darren is their fave... We then jump into the Falcon and head for that galaxy far far away as we review Solo: A Star Wars Story. We have a couple of very different cinema experiences (we're still not confident Trent saw the same movie!) and talk to how Disney may have shot themselves in the foot. And like any good Star Wars discussion, there is debate as to who shot first! I know, it was the scruffy nerf-hearder!

Toy News, Aliens and Predator

Today on The Toypower Podcast we welcome a very special guest Leanne Hannah! She's known throughout Eternia as @stratosmacca She's done work on MOTU comics, drawn Transformers packaging artwork and even met Lou Scheimer! She helps us investigate one of the lesser lights of the Masters Universe - the Master of Flight, Stratos! From his early concept art to his modern toys, we answer all the questions. Beard or no-Beard? Just how does he fly? And the big one: Is it red wings or blue? (Did someone say PINK wings?) We then round things off with another Frank Quiz, drawing inspiration from Explain a Movie Badly. Are you as quick as Ben too answer?

Today on the Toy Power Podcast, we dive headlong into the biggest movie of 2018 - Avengers Infinity War! We cover it all from our cinema experiences, the non-spoilers (which there's not much of!) to the big juicy spoilers you've been dying to hear! With all these characters to talk about, its a full length episode. There's no time for toilet breaks here - to which Ben has a very handy tactic to combat... We all shed some tears but perhpas not as many as some of the betting agencies out there! Yes it's a special edition for this special movie. Two bonus eps in two weeks! That's how much we love our listeners!
