TQ 026 Dian from China
Dian, who uses the English name Rebecca, was my student three years ago. She is now a third-year architecture student. In this episode you will hear me say "ay yi yi", which I learned when I taught in Mexico. We talk about Rebecca's English and Chinese names and about a popular Chinese TV show. Near the end we talk about religion, and use words like mosque, atheist and agnostic. Other words you may not know are marble floor, cactus, and rural. Before the last question I comment that we've already been talking for 26 minutes. That was true when I said it, but after I edited the episode it was about two minutes shorter at that point. When I edit the podcast episode I take out sections where we are either off topic or are talking about something that I think most of you will not be interested in. I also edit out some of the uhs, ums and long pauses. When most people speak, it's natural to say uh and um and to have pauses, but I don't want too many of them in my Ten Questions podcast episodes.
