TQ 039 Jorge from Spain
Warning! Some of the listeners will have trouble understanding Jorge. He has a Spanish accent and he sometimes speaks either quickly or not clearly or both. Try and listen to this podcast episode, and don't worry if you can't understand everything. You can still get the general ideas even if you don't understand every word.
Jorge has had a lot of experiences in his young life! He lived in a van in New Zealand for over a year, then joined a group who did circus performances to help pay for repairs to sailboats. Jorge was the clown. They also did performances on remote islands in the South Pacific just to see the smiles on the faces of the local villagers. After he left New Zealand, Jorge and his friend sailed to Fiji, Vanuatu and the Solomon Islands, then flew to Hong Hong, where he started the hitchhiking part of his trip. After China he and his friend plan to go down into Laos and Vietnam and other places in Southeast Asia.
Listen as he talks about living in a van in New Zealand, hitchhiking boats, and a stunning volcano on Tanna Island in Vanuatu. Listen also as I talk about my lifetime goal of being able to understand ten languages. I've already chosen nine of the languages. I wonder what the tenth language will be?
