TQ 060 Tomas from Argentina

Tomas and his friend Joy were my house guests for a couple of days while they were traveling in China. He is a nursing student in Finland, but is from Argentina. He's the first person from South America to be interviewed for my podcast! He said that he left home ten years ago to travel for a short time, but then ended up going all over the world. He's been to 70 countries! He and Joy had a nursing internship in Malaysia, then traveled in China and Southeast Asia. Tom said that the things that people know are Argentina are: soccer (Messi and Maradona), the musical and movie about Eva Peron ("Don't Cry for me, Argentina"), the revolutionary Che Guevarra, and beef. He talks about an interesting place in Peru: the ancient city of Machu Picchu.

Tom's English is very good, but he still has a bit of a Spanish accent. He also speaks quickly, so it may be difficult for some listeners to understand everything he says.
