She is the co-host of Espooky Tales, a podcast which covers the paranormal and folklore from a Latin American perspective, emphasizing obscure stories which are oftentimes overlooked due to language and cultural barriers. She is also an experiencer of high strangeness!

We discuss her paranormal experiences and how they may be framed from the view of her diverse cultural heritage, as well as the cultural significance of her favorite holiday: Dia de Muertos, and how it is oftentimes misinterpreted and appropriated.

Heather is lead researcher for Small Town Monsters, as well as a contributor to two volumes of the Feminine Macabre. We started off our chat discussing investigation equipment, and whether the accessibility of paranormal investigation may influence how phenomena manifests.

It did not take us long to deviate into elaborate discussion on tulpas, egregores, haunted objects, headless ghosts, the Bell Witch, and whether the land itself may be utilizing our own folklore to lure us into assuming the role of researchers and retellers of its own history!

We are ending the year with a wacky 4-person Kentucky Fried Chicken Coop! An amazing assortment of weirdo artists, Kris, Christina and Todd, join to completely subvert the traditional podcasting approach towards the Kelly-Hopkinsville goblin incident.

Instead of bothering you with the same old spiel of presenting case details, we tear the case to shreds to rather discuss the creative impact this incident had on pop culture, spawning the Little Green Men trope and forever incorporating goblins in the annals of ufology.

Cole and I cringe trying to understand why Christians are obsessed with discovering living dinosaurs! 

Mokele-mbembe, Burrunjor, Ropen, even Nessie: All favorites of the oblivious everyday cryptid fanboy, but what if we told you there is a seedy dark underbelly of cryptozoology infiltrated by Bible-thumping Christian fundamentalists!? 

The pseudoscinetific world of cryptozoology has forever attracted the likes of Young Earth creationists, hellbent on disproving real science by locating biologically-inaccurate dinosaurs spawned from the fever dreams and drawings of 19th century colonial imperialists. 

In the spirit of creationism, Cole and I do absolutely zero research and proceed to spew shit in a psychotic rage for your listening pleasure! 

Just remember kids, if a cryptozoologist tries to convince you of pterosaurs existing in the modern day, chances are they're appropriating a native culture, and your favorite hobby, to cram religious propaganda down your throat!

Swedish paranormal TV producer Fred provides us a queer eye to the writings of Gray Barker! Yes, the myth-maker, the charlatan, the trickster, and one of the staple names of old school ufology! 

But what many do not know is that Barker, throughout his whole life, hid a fabulously colorful secret! One which at the time he could only express via a creative outlet: UFO poetry. 

Fred and I, through the example of Barker's book "They Knew Too Much About Flying Saucers", discuss UFO literature as an art form, the significance of creative writing in personal expression, and the role of high strangeness in providing solace to the LGBT community. ️‍🌈
