Are alien abductions actually psychedelic and spiritual experiences? Should all abduction experiences be studied through the traditional nuts & bolts ufological approach, and how deep down the rabbit hole are we actually willing to follow the experiencers? We share our own experience reading the magnificent book "The Andresson Affair", diving into the religious symbology of the case, the psychic-UFO connection, and the evolution of a ufologist's beliefs through decades of interaction with their own research subject!

This episode is dedicated to Betty Andreasson Luca, who sadly passed away this March.

From Betty's Obituary: Betty was internationally renowned due to abduction experiences she had  with otherworldly entities during her life. Her experiences are some of  the most researched and heavily documented, and were written about in a  NY Times best-selling book, magazines, and newspapers. In addition, Betty appeared on many TV and Radio shows, and lectured on the phenomena  all over the U.S.

Betty was a dedicated and loving wife and mother of seven children. Not only was Betty a positive influence in their lives, but also in the  lives of all who knew her. She was a very special light on this earth  and will be dearly missed.

I gather up the courage to open up and talk about the bane of my cryptozoological interests! But this is not an attempt to bash Bigfoot, no, on the contrary! We explore the psycho-social significance of Bigfoot as an archetype in the collective unconsciousness, how much it may tell us about the human experience, and how it is a symbol shared among all people worldwide regardless of their cultural or historical context.

Unfortunately, this is not the Bigfoot discussion many are expecting, or even wish to hear. Many in the cryptid community will deny it, and many will not be willing to face the ultimate truth: Cryptozoology is a social science!
