This week we're letting the nerds within come out and take centre stage, as we celebrate the release of a certain video game by heading way back into the archives.
FIFA. EA Sports. It's In The Game. They're magical words that echo through our childhoods, and for those of a similar disposition they're impossible to recite without adopting that famous deep tone. We're football fans and we love it, but what the uninitiated may not realise is that FIFA isn't all about football.
Since the 1990s every edition has come with a brilliant, vibrant accompanying playlist of distinctive tunes that well and truly lodge themselves into the psyche of every single player. So many new acts and classic songs have been discovered thanks to FIFA, and that's what we're celebrating this week.
Along with brilliant musical highlights of the week, dive in and discover six brilliantly varied tracks from acts you may not have ever heard of. For the music fan and the gamer, this episode's a table topper.
As always, a massive thanks for downloading. We love you. Until next week, Tim & Harry x

Festival season may be drawing to a close here in the UK, but there's no shortage of live entertainment coming our way in the next few months. The entire music scene is seemingly heading out on an autumn tour, and this week we're guiding you through the shows you absolutely cannot afford to miss.
With tunes from the likes of Grizzly Bear, Black Honey, LCD Soundsystem and Father John Misty alongside musical highlights of the week from Washed Out and Rostam, there can surely be no other podcast on the market this week offering so much danceability. It's wall to wall bangers, laced together by a Tim and Harry reunion after our summer break. What more could you want?
As always, it's a massive thanks from us to everyone out there downloading, and we'll see you next week for an episode we've been looking forward to for a long, long time. Until then, Tim & Harry x

Here at Tracks HQ, we’re rarely wooed by the glitz and glamour of awards shows, but the Mercury Prize is a major exception to the rule. An award of genuine cultural significance, with a judging panel made up of noted musicians, journalists, producers, presenters and composers, it stands apart as a truly intriguing barometer of the UK and Irish music scene each year, and this week we’re casting our eye over 2017’s twelve shortlisted albums ahead of this Thursday’s ceremony.
With Tracks favourites such Loyle Carner, The xx, Kate Tempest and Sampha on the shortlist alongside lesser-known but no less intriguing acts such as J Hus and Dinosaur, it’s an episode packed to the rafters with fantastic tunes, and culminates in us putting our necks on the line and predicting our winners of the 2017 Mercury Music Prize.
Big thanks for tuning in this week. It’s an absolute joy to be back again after two weeks in the wilderness. Until next week, Tim & Harry x

Another week, another brilliant summer mix. It's Harry's turn to take the reigns and guide you through the last 7 days before Tracks finally returns, and rest assured he does it in style.
Taking you, our wonderful listeners, on a journey from fuzzy psych to the most chilled acoustic tunes you could wish to have tickling your little eardrums (via an ineviatable Tyler, The Creator stop or two, obviously) it's a selection that will have you waltzing through the summer's finale.
Once again, if you'd like to hear the full versions of the songs played in this episode then be sure to check out the 100% official Spotify playlist - http://spoti.fi/2yw5ZGE. Otherwise, it's simply a huge thank you for your continued support and patience whilst we take a much-needed break, and we can't wait to be back with you next week. Tim & Harry x

We may be away enjoying a well-earned summer break, but we couldn't leave you, our lovely listeners, empty-handed for a whole fortnight. How could we? You'd never survive.
Instead, we're filling the gap with two very special, solo episodes, the first of which is right here. It's one half of the Tracks team taking the reigns and bringing you the tunes that are carrying them through this most sunny of seasons, and it's a whole lot of fun.
First up is Tim, who takes us on a journey through his music and mind via the likes of Little Barrie, Rostam, Aphex Twin, Yo La Tengo, Action Bronson and many, many more wonderful acts. It's a mix to get you raving and relaxing in equal measures, and we're sure you'll love it.
If you'd like to hear the full versions of the songs played, be sure to check out the Spotify playlist for this episode here - http://spoti.fi/2y23JUn. Otherwise, simply pour yourself a piña colada, sit back and enjoy the ride. Tim & Harry x

Ah, the last week of school. Those halcyon days of games, sports days and general chaos. Why did they insist on keeping us there when no learning was taking place? We're not really sure, but this week we're reliving the fun of it all as we prepare for our very own summer holidays.
It's essentially a show and tell session as we give ourselves complete free rein to play whatever we like, and the result is a pretty special musical selection. Expect to hear the likes of The Go! Team, Patience and even some Gorky's Zygotic Mynci alongside musical highlights from The Cribs and The Horrors.
There will be a couple of very special, slightly different episodes coming in the next few weeks while we recharge the batteries, so keep an eye out on the feed for those. Until then, it's a huge thanks for tuning in throughout our summer season. We love you. Tim & Harry x
