The world's biggest and best music festival is just a couple of short days away, and Tracks preparing to head to it.

This week, we bring our excitement straight into your ears (only slightly tempered by Tim's hideous hangover at the time of recording) as we prepare for another spectacular few days at Worthy Farm. As well as all of the the usual pre-game team talk, we bring three picks of acts not to miss over the weekend and much more besides.

This coming Thursday, the UK has a huge decision to make. Blue or red? May or Corbyn? The many or the few? The General Election 2017 just two days away, and we're mulling over these questions in a politcal party of our own.

This week, we picked songs which feel highly relevant at this moment in time, which reflect our personal politics or even went some way to informing them at a time when we initially became engaged with the political world. With the likes of Billy Bragg, A Tribe Called Quest and Skepta getting a run out, it's a big one.

All of that may suggest a rather serious episode, but it's far from it. We had an absolute ball recording, and here's hoping we're still partying come the morning of Friday 9th June.

After the saddest, most tragic of weeks, there was only one place we could possibly focus our attentions for today's episode.

Manchester is a city that has brought so much happiness to our lives musically and culturally, and the events there this week broke our hearts. Here, we play music from the city and reflect on a week we will never forget. We mourn the loss of the victims, and pay tribute to the courage of those helping each and every one of us bounce back.

As the dust settles on The Great Escape for another year, we're back with our final episode from our latest festival run.

Today we're lucky enough to be joined by this simply wonderful Jerry Williams. She stopped by Tracks HQ shortly before she took to the stage to play a packed out and frankly brilliant set at Jubilee Square, and was the dream guest.

We are, by most people's standards, still young people. In the thick of our 20s, old age still seems blissfully far away. When we realised this week that Arctic Monkey's Favourite Worst Nightmare was top of the UK charts a full decade ago, however, we felt about 100.

So, in a blur of nostalgia and desperation to feel young again, we headed to the archives to pick out a few choice tracks which feel to us like they only came out yesterday, but are in fact now bona fide *classics*.

All of that may sound depressing, but it's one of the most danceable episode playlists we've ever had, and we laughed a lot recording it. Hopefully you'll enjoy it just as much.
