After finally dealing with Kevin Buttercup, Carol is called back to ERMA as the remaining party members meet the Institute of Paramagical Studies and embark on a quest to save the world.

While Sandy (Sildar) finalizes his preparations to save Gundren, the party decide to take up a new quest via Fantasy Craigslist. Unfortunately, there's just one bit of business to take care of: putting the "Kevin Buttercup" thing to rest.

The party meet and find an unlikely connection with the banshee near Conyberry before returning to Phandalin and learning that Sandy (Sildar) is making the last preparations before going after Gundren Rockseeker.

After clearing out the Red Brands from Phandalin, the party meet a member of the Harpers and agree to seek out a nearby banshee for information on an ancient tome.

The party finish clearing out Tresendar Manor and rescue the prisoners within it, then reap the rewards of their efforts before turning in for the night.

As the party continue searching through Tresendar Manor to clear out any remaining Ruffians, some truth bombs are dropped about one of the party members and what exactly the Ruffians have been up to.
