Some people have parents who were both in the household, married for 50 plus years and the foundation was SOLID AS A ROCK.. but what about those of us who were a product of a broken home... and then came the BROKEN HEART, secrets, lies and trauma? How are we navigating decades later? What is your relationship like with your parents TODAY? What about those who never even knew who their biological parents were? So. you say you want to get to know the host more. You said you wanted to know what makes her tick? Who is she? Where is she from? What are her hobbies? What pisses her off?

Is it fair that we expect people to approach life the way we do? I have been told on several occasions that everyone doesnt think/act/love like me. I personally feel we ought to hold people accountable for their actions/inactions etc. This can be tough in the workplace, in friendships and even in relationships. Who decides what is reasonable and what is not as it pertains to expectations? Are we missing out of fruitful connections because we our standards/expectations are in the rafters? Sooooooooo......

I am a mother. Far from perfect but I would not trade this hat for thee ENTIRE world. However, there are times I feel my daughter and I misunderstand each other. I see so much of me in her eyes, her mannerisms, her laughter... we are from different generations. I am 48, she is 20.75... she is reserved, I am LOUD. I am charismatic, she is conservative.. we love each other, but sometimes, we hit walls. My mother and I hit walls almost DAILY growing up. I really wish I knew more about her, beyond surface still.
