The Bible clearly says in Proverbs 13:24 Whoever spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is diligent to discipline him. What does that passage mean? Are we taking that to the extreme and inflicting excessive violence on children and not having conversations concerning acceptable/unacceptable behavior?

It's the 1st Sofa Chats Episode of 2024 and we want to talk about setting goals. There is so much information out there about how to do this, and how to do that. It can be majorly overwhelming trying to sort through it all and figure out what works for you without becoming discouraged and simply throwing in the towel.

I am not the perfect Mother, neither have I been the perfect daughter. My example of parenting may not have been stellar, but I am willing to learn and grow.. But what do you do when as a woman you are dealing with issues (menopause, divorce, sickness etc) and your child has there own unique set of issues.. I want to be better than what I experienced but at the end of the day.. broken people have babies... Now how do we overcome create a peaceful bond? No lashes allowed tonight!

Today I need to unload some things I have been mulling over. Today we celebrated the Life of someone I hold near and dear. It was a beautiful service, yet because of members of the audience, it was a challenge. I made choices that were healthy for ME......My healing is being solidified. I made it! I have a lot to get off of my chest before I lay down and rest. Come onnnnnn in the room!!
