Then we talk about "comic book stuff". Because this whole podcast doesn't deal with enough comic book material. We discuss the track record of the Doctor Strange director, Scott Derrickson. We also discuss the control that Marvel has over it's cinematic universe.

This episode was recorded prior to the release of Suicide Squad whose early reviews were not kind. [Ed note: They still aren't as of publish date.]

We go down a rabbit hole about other directors and who might be willing to step in to direct the future Marvel movies. Armstrong brings up Hancock, which he thinks is underrated and a deserves a higher Metacritic score and encourages you to read Roger Ebert's review.

Next we take a look at Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Celebration Reel:

If you can't see the embedded video, you can watch the trailer on iTunes Move Trailers or YouTube.

While this isn't technically a trailer, we dig the footage and the behind-the-scenes peeks that this featurette reveals. Moltz brings up a key difference between Star Wars and Star Trek: the former wasn't afraid to show future tech as gritty and dirty where the latter showed a gleaming and clean future.

We also mention the director for Rogue One, Gareth Edwards.

And then we talk the trailer for HBO's upcoming Westworld, a remake of a 1973 film of the same name, written and directed by Michael Crichton. The film was seen by both Moltz and Armstrong in their youth, scarring them irrevocably. Particularly terrifying was Yul Bryner as Gunslinger, the robot gone rogue.

Noted Westworld mentions can be seen here. The hosts mention the Westworld spoof on The Simpsons, "Itchy and Scratchy Land" (Season 6, episode 4).

The show takes a turn down sci-fi memory lane. A Logan's-Run-actress-Jenny-Agutter-memory-lane.

So Westworld.
