Trailer Trash Show

On this week's episode, we cover the Ghostbusters trailers. The conversation is anchored by this fantastic post by Tony Zhou on Medium, The Trailers for Ghostbusters (2016) and the Art of Editing Comedy

You can compare the two trailers that Zhou is talking about below.

Then we talk about the trailer for The Lobster, an award-winning indie dark comedy starring Colin Farrell:

One of the best edited and funniest trailers we've seen this year.

Armstrong mentions the "feel good" hit of the summer (of 2011), Lars Von Trier's Melancholia.

This week, our first trailer is the second trailer for Star Trek Beyond, which both hosts feel has some nice throwbacks to OG Star Trek, some sweet shots of the new uniforms as well as some equally sweet shots of Idris Elba's baddie. In this post over on IGN, Simon Pegg dishes about the Escher-like structure that Moltz mentions.

Here's the trailer:

The second trailer is for Weiner, an award winning documentary about the scandal that Anthony Weiner's dick picks caused. The kicker is that Anthony Weiner is a willing participant in the documentary:

Note: Moltz' audio has some distortion and other artifacts and for that we are sorry. We blame somebody else. Always.
