The New York Giants' 2025 training camp is officially underway, and Day 2 delivered plenty of headlines. In this episode of 2 Giants Goofballs, Drew and Rob break down all the latest from the practice field—including quarterback performances, defensive dominance, contract updates, and some surprising PR decisions.

Russell Wilson looked sharp, going 10-for-14 with 3 touchdowns and 1 interception, while rookie Jaxson Dart had an up-and-down day—4-of-8, 1 touchdown, and 1 pick. Brian Daboll addressed Dart’s interception, defending the rookie’s learning process as part of camp development. Meanwhile, Abdul Carter was absolutely dominant, albeit against the second-team offensive line in a non-padded practice.

Off the field, the Giants made waves by adding $3 million in incentives to Dexter Lawrence’s contract. If he hits them all, he’ll become the 4th highest-paid defensive tackle in the league—up from 10th. Sexy Dexy, when asked about the deal, stayed focused: “I just want to win. It’ll all take care of itself.”

Perhaps most controversially, the Giants launched a new influencer marketing initiative—but left out nearly all independent Giants content creators. The team claims PR alignment was a factor in the curation, but it raises big questions about how the franchise is supporting the fan-driven media that keeps the buzz alive year-round.
