Trans Comedians on Comedy

In a riveting but horrifying edition of the TCOC podcast I engage Edson Montenegro (they/them) in conversation about Scream (1996), White Chicks (2004), and Final Destination 3 (2006). An hour of podcast perfect for the Halloween freak, this episode will make you check under your bed and lock all of the doors. And remember… don’t answer the phone. Unless you want to DIE!!! 🔪

No but seriously. This episode with Edson is great. We discuss Emma Roberts having a narc face, Edson’s secret past as a fan fiction artist, Raven Symoné’s cover of Superstition, a TV show where Aaron Tveit and Mary Elizabeth Winstead have sex while she eats salami to get evil bugs out of her brain, and so much more. Winnie Dugan guest stars. What more are you waiting for. TUNE IN BITCHES!

My guest on the first episode of Trans Comedians on Comedy is Charlie Girard (he/him). And what a lovely conversation it is.

For this episode Charlie brought me Joel Kim Booster’s 2019 Good One episode where he talks about his James Corden set, Judy Carter’s 4 Words, and Sally Halloway’s The Serious Guide to Joke Writing — particularly her lessons on joke webs.

We also gab about how being a stand up comedy teacher informs Charlie’s approach to working at a summer camp for trans youth each year, his set at the T4T Bell House show, and what it’s like to get started.

One thing about this podcast is it's going to be awesome.

Like, follow, save and/or subscribe to know when we've dropped another funny and likely sweet conversation with a trans comedian about the stand up, sketches, TV and movies they love.

Hosted by Terrence Dugan. God what a rush! Much to come.
