Cowboys, outlaws, gunslingers, saloons, brothels, sheriff's and crooked lawmen were the stuff of legends. Figures like Billy the Kid, Wyatt Earp, Doc Holiday, Jesse James, Butch Cassidy , Bat Masterson, these names are part of folklore and legend, but they were also really people.
