The incredible gift of drawing near to God is that his light shines into the core of who we are. The painful cost of that illumination is that we see our sin. But that’s where transformation happens. Then, feelings are awesome! Don’t stuff them, don’t reject them, don’t deny them, don’t ignore them, but always submit your feelings to the truth of God’s word. Perry’s learned this the hard way.
