A view or outlook regarding fundamental principles underlying some domain.

Your personal philosophy is simply a guiding system that decides how you see, understand, perceive, and interpret different concepts of life.

For example, you know people that usually say, 'Let me give you my opinion, 'Let me give you a piece of my mind' etc. These guys are simply saying, 'This is my personal philosophy concerning this matter.

When people talk or give advice, it is important that you trace the origin of their philosophies.

Most times, always ask yourself, 'Compared to what?'

Don't just take people's sentiments as truth.

You must test all principles.

The best way to do this is to study the words of the one that created the entire universe.

The greatest book you can ever read is THE BIBLE.

God gave us His culture, bias, and philosophy in a man known as Jesus Christ.

Every book of the Bible has an expression of Jesus in it.

The time you invest in the personal study of scriptures should be to extract the culture, bias, and philosophy of Jesus Christ.

His philosophy is known as the wisdom of God.

You can never go wrong when you are locked into this culture, bias, and philosophy.

To break any false Bias, culture, or philosophy that is obviously not going to help you achieve success,

You must

- Be curious enough to ask the right questions

- Be disciplined enough to find facts for yourself

- Be open enough to analyze different views, perspectives, and ideas.

- Be crazy enough to try new things.

- Be patient enough to study trends

- Be studious enough to do your own research and come to your own conclusion.

As I conclude,

I learned something powerful from one of the greatest mentors of all time, Jim Rohn. He would always say, 'Don't be a follower, be a student.

These words have helped me stay open to ideas, and not attach myself to any concept.

As we grow, our concepts grow with us due to greater levels of exposure and experiences.

My advice to you is, to enjoy every moment and be flexible enough to update your bias, personal culture, and philosophies about any area of your life where you desire to change.

Yesterday, we started talking about 3 basic factors that determine the direction of your life.

For many, they have the desire to make progress and achieve great success.

However, there are factors that needs to change first, for the person to change course.

Today, I'll be talking about the second factor - *Bias*

This is just an inclination towards something; predisposition, partiality, prejudice, preference, predilection.

Most times, this is formed from people's personal experiences and exposure to people, places and things.

Subconsciously, we tend to enforce our bias on others without knowing. And what more, we tend to buy other people's bias subconsciously without knowing.

A basic example that you can relate with is this.

When you hear 'Lagos', what is the first perception you have about the City?

Let me guess? Traffic!

Right?

If you've not been to Lagos before, this would obviously be the bias of someone else that you bought.

And there's a high tendency that you will turn down an offer to move to Lagos to work.

And this is just one of many examples that I can use to relate the expressions of bias.

Well, don't worry, I have a list of things that you can start doing to help you build a healthy bias that guarantees greatness, progress and success.

Three factors that determine the direction of your life!!!

Within the next three days, I'll be sharing three fundamental factors that guarantees our greatness, progress and success.

For life change, there are three 3️⃣ basic factors that determine the direction of our lives.

These factors are the building blocks of your thoughts, and they Influence how you make choices, approach decision making, and of course, how you see life.

Many years ago, I read a book by Dr. Myles Munroe, and he made a statement that will stay with me till date.

He said, 'We don't see things as they are, but as we are'.

I took sometime to really understand the statement, and when I did, it changed my approach to life.

We must be careful enough to guard these 3 fundamental basics that I call the rudder of our lives.

They are so important that God made sure that He gave us a template to help us design a customized framework for how these factors should operate in our lives.

The truth is, if you decide to change the course of your life, these 3 factors will determine if you get the results you desire or not.

Let's crack on,

1️⃣ Culture

The dictionary definition of culture states that it is the set of beliefs, values, behaviour and material objects that constitute a people's way of life.

Your actions, reactions and responses to life generally is a function of your child hood experience.

One of the books that made me understand this concept is, 'The secret of the millionaire mind by T. Harv Eker'.

I'll recommend you read this book.

And if you have read it, I'll advice you read it again.

For example, your approach to business, work and money is largely affected by your background, childhood environment, family, school etc, and all of this put together creates your personal culture.

The only way this can change is to follow the steps that will be outlined tomorrow and next tomorrow.

What advice would you give to your 12 year old self?

- God First.

- Find out who you were born to be. (Originality)

- Know what you are called to do. (Purpose)

- Be clear with what you want to accomplish. (Wants)

- Dream big and believe in that dream (Vision)

- Find people who are doing what you want to do. (Association)

- Find the materials that will help you achieve that dream/goals. (Information)

- Find a community that can help you achieve that dream. (Community)

What can you do differently in the last quarter of the year?

I want to share 6️⃣ powerful lessons with you that have shaped my life over the years, and is still shaping.

Here we go,

1️⃣ Risk over regret.

Learn to take more risks. However, they have to be informed and calculated.

I've discovered that people who often take blinded risks, end up making mistakes. However, those who take informed risks, increase their chances to be successful.

2️⃣ When you find what you love, workdays become 7, and rest days become 7.

What does this mean, Carlos?

Quite simple.

When you find what you Love to do, it opens you up to depth of spiritual and mental rest that you cannot explain.

So find your rest in what you love to do.

3️⃣Starve your distractions, and Feed your focus.

Be present on that important task and concentrate your energies on it🤲.

I am learning to apply 100 hits on 1 spot, than 1 hit on 100 different spots.

This lesson looks easy until you are tempted by numerous opportunities in our world today.

Distractions come clothed as wolves in sheep clothings. In essence, please beware of distractions that clothe themselves as opportunities.

4️⃣ Energy and knowledge will remain deceptive, until understanding shows up to the scene.

And understanding only comes with meditation & reflection.

Learn to spend time alone in your head most times because the result cannot be bought with activity.

5️⃣ In all thy doing, secure your peace of mind!

Peace of mind will do wonders for you.

Why do you think God keeps us in perfect peace when we make Him our focus?

It's because Peace is one of the greatest energies that attracts all we need in life.

6️⃣ Love people sincerely & genuinely.

If you do, you won't look down on anyone.

This also attracts favour, goodwill and blessings to you from God, the universe, and man.

Don't do it because of the blessings you get, but do it because it is the right thing to do.

Access wealth untold with this simple secret.

Economic poverty is simply the absence of spiritual and mental discipline.

On the other hand, economic wealth is simply the presence and sustenance of spiritual and mental discipline.

If you show discipline today, and get lazy tomorrow, you'll see the effect someday.

Consistency in spiritual and mental discipline is the secret to wealth untold.

Your ability to invest time communicating with divinity, and carefully observing spiritual principle is the first and primary key to accessing generational wealth.

Secondly, your ability to invest quality time in the place of learning and meditation gives you an advantage that is not accessible to the common man.

The spirit and soul realm functions with beings. These beings assist man in gaining prominence in the physical plane.

Don't ignore wisdom in any industry you choose to venture into.

Before you look for the money, look for the wisdom.

Wisdom is the principality that gives people access into the gates of GPS in any industry.

Wisdom stands at the gate, and stops ignorant people.

Ignorance is also a principality that wisdom repels.

Just as light and darkness cannot stand, so also does wisdom and ignorance repel.

When scripture talked about wisdom being the principal thing, and also being greater than silver and gold, it meant it.

Wasn't a cliche or a rhyme to feel good to the soul.

It was, and is a guiding principle for anyone to gain mastery in any field, Industry or endeavor.

In wisdom is mastery. In wisdom is wealth. In wisdom is prominence. In wisdom is riches.

Wisdom is a spirit that only comes to those who are willing to let it rest on them.

It is a spirit that doesn't come on people that can't meditate, or ask quality questions.

Meditation and the art of asking quality question is crucial to unlocking the gates of wisdom to come into your soul.

Neglecting it is dangerous and detrimental to anyone who desires to be the best, and at the top of their industry.

Go for wisdom and shine brighter than the sun.

If you are kind, you'll experience kindness everywhere you go, and attract kind people into your life.

It applies to every character, personality or attitude in manifestation.

If you are good, you'll experience goodness everywhere you go... And vice versa! Don't be misled.

Even God says, 'Ill be kind to the kind, and froward to the froward.'

If you are faithful, you'll experience faithfulness.

It always comes back to you in a multiplied fold.

Your experience in life is just an outward manifestation of an inward reality that springs from your thoughts and feelings.

As man, we have the ability to act our way into feeling.

Don't always wait for the feeling before you act.

Be happy, be kind, be good, be generous.

Whatsoever things are right, just and great, think on those things, and act on them.
