The first  three expeditions to Mars left Earth in a mushroom of flames arched  through the atmosphere and finally dwindled to tiny specks on the big  eye of mount pelimars telescope and then were lost to the eye  altogether. Prearranged landing signals flashed back to Earth and the  radios went dead. One after the other ships had disappeared and were  never heard of again. But still the rockets came. The fourth expedition  emerged from the silent gulfs of faith and angled down towards the  floating red bits of Mars down into orbit as the order came to land. The  first three expeditions to Mars left Earth in a mushroom of flames  arched through the atmosphere and finally dwindled to tiny specks on the  big eye of mount pelimars telescope and then were lost to the eye  altogether. "The Burning Court".  A story of poisoning with supernatural overtones.  One of the guests at a dinner party is a murderer...which one? The first  show of the series. The series was based on a "Forecast" broadcast  called "Suspense" that was aired July 22, 1940. The story was produced  on "Suspense" again on June 14, 1945

This program does not use the familiar "Dragnet" theme music. A nickel  plated .44 caliber Smith and Wesson is used to shoot two cops and a lot  more people. The police make extensive use of "I. B. M. machines" and a  tape recorder to solve the case. "The story you are about to hear is  true. Only the names have been changed to protect the innocent." Dragnet  is a documented drama of an actual crime provided from the Los Angeles  police files. This story commences on a cold Tuesday night in LA  Detective Sergeant Joe Friday is working the night watch with his  partner Ben Romero when a call comes in to homicide that 2 police  officers had been shot.

In  the story you are about to hear the heroine is a young woman of 77 who  has reached her golden years with her sense of independence in tact,  with a spryness to her limbs, very good vision and excellent hearing.  But as you are about to learn there are times when hearing well is not a  blessing…

The first show of the series. A Dutchman draws a lynch mob after the  whole town accuses him of murder. A very well-written story with a  surprise ending. Georgia Ellis plays the widow of the dead man, not Miss  Kitty!  +  Clay Richards is wanted for robbing a bank and for murdering an old  cashier and a Chinese cook and the Marshall of Dodge City is on his  trail, only to find that Zeigler the Dutchman has already found Clay's  dead body. To add to Dillon's troubles he has a young runaway boy from  Cottonwood to sort out, a boy by the name of William, otherwise known as  Billy the Kid.

Genesis 10 is sometimes called the table of nations. It describes the generations that followed from Noah's three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, along with the nations that came from them and the regions in which they settled after the Tower of Babel. This chapter is a slightly different take on genealogy; rather than focusing on lineage, this passage defines the boundaries of these different tribes of people. Instead of following a narrow chain of father-son relationships deep into history, this chapter explains a broad network of cousins, following a shallow chain of brotherly relationships. The purpose is to establish the various kingdoms which will come into play later in Genesis.
