  • Transmediacrity Anime Club, Ep. 10: Betterman Finale -- Apply Queer Theory To Keita
    Betterman is over.
The Media Maidenz grapple with the revelations of episodes 25-26 of Betterman. We have our answers, to some degree. But still, the Maidenz will be Maidenz, and they will ask questions such as: was ANYONE actually infected with Algernon? How much of Evangelion can be found in Betterman? Would the ideology of Juche allow Greater Korea to take over anime? Is Queer Theory over forever? Did Rob Liefeld have a hand in the creation of Betterman Oltos? Is the series ending cute or creepy? Congratulations! Congratulations! Congratulations!
Oh and Madiha's theory is revealed. Ugh.
At any rate, we may never know the truth, because, Betterman is over.

  • Transmediacrity Anime Club, Ep. 9: You Can (Not) Have A Free Copy Of Dianetics
Guided by the chakra the Media Maidenz tackle episodes 23-24 of Betterman. We're in the home stretch, ready to put it away, but now the world is in the grip of Algernon, and everything is going downright topsy-turvy. Difficult questions continue to arise and difficult answers are nowhere to be found yet, surprisingly. Listen as we ponder: Are any of us human? Are any of us secretly Kankel? Should a pregnant woman do robot battle? Do tuna heads represent the slaughter? Join us and find out!
Outro theme is "Blossom" the theme of the Dual Tribe in Betterman.

  • Transmediacrity Episode 17: The Doujin-to-Designer Pipeline
I just want to stress this: Gunther Steiner lost his entire team. He didn’t lose 20% of his team. He didn’t even lose 50% of his team. He lost his whole team. Look at what it’s done to him. You can see the death in his eyes, but he keeps on going. This is why Haas is one of my favorite teams.
